DATE BOOK WRAP UP Face & Body Northern California More than 3,550 spa pros flocked to the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, to attend the Face & Body Spa Conference & Expo on August 24-26. The three-day event catered to a range of professionals including spa owners, directors and managers, estheticians, massage therapists, medical practitioners, plastic surgeons and dermatologists. The show floor was jam-packed with some 170 exhibitors eager to display their latest and greatest spa products and treatments. Manufacturers also had the opportunity to conduct hands-on demonstrations via exhibitor-sponsored courses and the Advanced Education Conference Program, which featured such topics as hyperpigmentation and acne/rosacea. In addition to networking and product education, attendees also got to sharpen their business skills. The event's Business Summit featured classes offering advice and techniques on how to obtain and maintain a successful enterprise in today's competitive industry.
