IN THE NEWS SWEET CHARI-TEE Star Nail International's (starnail.com) global education director Elaine Watson partnered with AthenA and Nail Talk Radio in developing a limited-edition t-shirt to benefit Polished Girlz. The nonprofit organization aims to help young girls with special needs by hosting nail art parties for them. It also teaches the importance of hand washing as a way of avoiding the spread of germs. The t-shirt's unique design features an Adam- and Eveinspired theme that includes a pair of hands, adorned with snakeskin nail décor, holding a bejeweled apple. "The design for the t-shirt came from a shot we created for the catalog of our Cina Nail Art line," explains Watson. "We wanted something that was eye-catching." Only 100 shirts featuring Watson's design were made, with 10% of each purchase going toward Polished Girlz. New Kids on the Board MICHAEL MCGILLICUDDY BRUCE BALTZ TERESA M.
