ADVERTISEMENT New Year, New Energy Those of you who follow me know that I recently made a big move from Northern California to Southern California. I feel like a wide-eyed kid in a candy store in my new town. There are so many things to see and be excited about. Interesting things have been happening to me and great ideas have been coming to me since I got here. I wanted to share a couple of them with you. Let me back up a bit and fill you in on why I think these things are happening to me. I believe in the Law of Attraction. This simply means that the energy you put out into the world is what you get back. You put out negativity; you get back negative things in your life. If you put out positive, loving, joyful energy ... what do you get back? Yes indeed, you get positive, loving, joyful things in your life. So right now my energy is full of excitement, newness, wonder! And what I'm getting back in my life right now is lots of high energy (physical and emotional), creativity and more business, which means more income and that's a good thing, right? I'm meeting lovely happy people who make me smile and it feels really great. Every day has been exciting. Here are a couple of things that have come to me because of this shift in my energy. My skin care center of 25 years is still running strong up in Northern California. I recently did an email promotion to those clients that has beat out anything I've ever done. I offered a month-long special for 30 minute LED treatments. They pay one price and can come in as many as three times a week during that one-month period. We sold eight of them the very first day! Four of those were people we had not seen in quite some time. It was exciting to get those clients back on the books! My goal with this promotion is for these clients to see the benefits of regular LED treatments and want to continue on at least once a week after the month is up. While he was coloring my hair, he very casually told me that there was a shampoo and conditioner that he wanted me to use to keep my hair looking healthy. You've all heard that saying "soft sell" right? His was a very soft sell, but guess what I walked out with at the end of the appointment? Yep, I happily purchased that shampoo and conditioner! He is the authority and I listened. Asking for help on how to sell products is at the top of the list of inquiries I get from my fellow estheticians. We are the authorities in our industry, we need to speak up … they will listen. Let's take the lead from my new stylist and start softly selling with authority. Let me know how it works! How can we all bring a bit of wonder into our daily lives without having to make a big move like I did? How can you start your day with that wide-eyed excitement of a child? If you can find what works for you to give you this feeling, you'll never be sitting alone in your treatment room again ... business will be booming!
