WINNING WAYS Hands-on Healing Imagine not being able to get out of bed in the morning, your joints so swollen and painful that you struggle to pull back the covers. You try—and fail—to button your shirt or bend down and put on socks, let alone make it to your car and drive to work. That's the reality for many people living with arthritis. At the most recent event, held on September 18 last year, for every 60-minute massage or facial performed at a Massage Envy Spa location that day, $10 was donated to the Arthritis Foundation. With the help of the spa franchise's 21,000 therapists and 1.4 million members, $898,861 was raised for the cause. DAYSPA recently caught up with Susan Boresow, Massage Envy Spa's chief marketing officer, to talk about the power of partnerships and the fight to find a cure for this debilitating disease. —Lesley McCave DAYSPA: Why did Massage Envy Spa choose the Arthritis Foundation as its charity partner?
