Featuring a fresh layout, inviting colors and textures, integrated QR code technology and environmentally friendly materials, the new packaging is symbolic of the brand's awareness of consumer trends and behaviors. "While they may not realize it at the time, consumers actively evaluate packages on shelves in seconds," explains Sarah Steven, vice president of marketing for Jane Iredale. "Our new packaging conveys our brand story with consumers through colors that represent the vibrancy and purity of nature, and special touches that emphasize the value and quality of our products." Details of the brand's new packaging include: • A bright, optimistic color scheme, including orchid, the chosen color for the Jane Iredale logo, which has also been dubbed Pantone Color of the Year for 2014 by the Pantone Color Institute. • QR codes, which can be found on the inside flap of each carton. When scanned, the codes direct users to a Jane Iredale application video that demonstrates the proper ways to apply the product. • Fully recyclable and responsibly sourced packaging materials, featuring UV-curable ink derived from natural tree resin and vegetable oils. Another new addition to Jane Iredale's packaging is the Leaping Bunny logo, which symbolizes the brand's cruelty-free certification by the Coalition for Consumer Information (CCIC), made up of eight animal-protection organizations. The brand was honored with the certification in March and will be sporting the logo on all of its product packaging.
