Featuring more than 850 show fl oor exhibitors combined, the two professionals-only shows enjoyed packed crowds representing the skincare, wellness, hair care, nail care and makeup communities. Highlights of the IECSC included spa business education on timely topics such as: how to harness successful online reviews; ways to make your spa eco-friendly; how to turn your spa into a healing center; private labeling; and much more. Classes in wellness treatment approaches, as well as technologically driven medical spa services, were offered. The serious professional also had the opportunity to participate in CIDESCO Section USA classes in technical and business practices, and/or advanced education workshops. As expected, the IBS side of the conference pulsed with high energy, with live demos of hairstyling and makeup techniques co-mingling with competitions in nail work— including extraordinary examples of nail art—and Lash Wars, a competition in the exploding arena of eyelash services.
