At Montage Deer Valley (, however, there's another compelling motivation to visit this alpine paradise. Wellness enthusiasts who journey to this picturesque spot in the Wasatch Mountains (just 36 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport) fi nd everything they could desire in the way of healthful endeavors, whether it's a robust walk in the surrounding pristine forests or a private yoga lesson in the spa's Mind/ Body Movement Studio. You might say that the facility's 35,000-square-foot Spa Montage is an "elemental" part of Montage Deer Valley's newest effort to bolster and inspire their guests. The property's just-launched Elements of Wellness initiative, which enables visitors to select from a generous and diverse menu of activities and experiences, includes a wide range of in-spa beauty, skincare and bodywork treatments. In addition to accommodations at the resort, program participants are given six Elements credits per day, which can be applied as they see fi t to items that fall within three categories of well-being: Indulge, Energize and Reconnect. This allows each guest to customize his or her own healing experience. One might choose, for instance, the Private Archery Lesson from Energize for one credit, the Behavioral Change Consultation from Reconnect for two credits and the 120-minute Thermastone Kur Wrap with Facial from Indulge for three credits.
