Here, we break down some of the companies on the market that off er helpful platform solutions. Booker (booker.com) Your front desk is a potential revenue bonanza, but overly complicated software can foil your staff 's best intentions. Booker aims to help reduce snafus, and the company strives to have front desk associates ready to use its software in an average of roughly one hour. Cost: Booker charges an upfront fee ranging from $150 for small spas to $5,000 for complex spas integrated into hotel operating systems. The monthly fee also varies considerably: anywhere from $85 for the smallest level of functionality to $800 for the largest, most complicated buildouts. Support: An interactive Help section features articles, videos and contextual training, enabling users to self-solve many issues. Support via in-application chat, email and phone is also available. Millennium (harms-software.com) Millennium is focused on the spa and salon industry, which facilitates a point-of-sale platform that's compatible to your business's needs. The software can also track sales in real time and display up-to- the-minute information. Cost: There's a one-time $99 setup fee on the initial order, and the ongoing subscription price is $69 per month with one to fi ve providers, and $99 per month for six or more. You can purchase any version of Millennium on a subscription basis. Support: Online and face-to-face classes are off ered throughout the year. Millennium also provides webinars each month to keep customers up to date on company products and strategies. MindBody (mindbodyonline.com) Software designed for the small-business owner, MindBody provides online booking features, marketing tools to attract new customers and to-do list automation. Cost: Package plans range from $75 to $295 per month. Support: MindBody off ers one-on-one support and access to a support center with articles and videos. Year-round, the company also hosts three-day events throughout the world to educate its clients. Square (squareup.com) Square provides retail business tools, such as a credit card payment device and inventory resources that send alerts when stock runs low. Users can also create personalized customer profi les based on purchases. Cost: The retail package runs $60 per month with 2.75 percent for payment processing when a customer pays by credit card. Support: Square off ers phone support during business hours, as well as email and social support. A support center includes videos and articles. u ResortSuite (resortsuite.com) Software designed for the hospitality industry, ResortSuite off ers ResortSuite SPA, a guest-centric management solution. Users can track client transactions, preferences and requests. Cost: Pricing varies. Support: The company off ers 24/7 support as well as customizable on-site and remote training. SalesWarp (saleswarp.com) SalesWarp software is designed to help retailers understand and automate their most critical operations: product listings, pricing, order management, customer service and fulfi llment. Cost: Prices vary depending on chosen features, order volume and clients' performance needs, and generally start in the low hundreds per month for small retailers. Support: The company has a 24/7 ticketing system for bugs, challenges and urgent questions. For noncritical issues, standard support is available during normal business hours.
