IN THE NEWS Éminence's Jam-Packed June June was an exciting month for Éminence Organic Skin Care (eminenceorganics.com), as the brand celebrated victories in its professional and philanthropic sectors. The company kicked off the month by participating in the BC (British Columbia) Children's Hospital Foundation's annual Miracle Weekend on June 1. Éminence founder Boldijarre Koronczay presented the brand's donation of $11,073 during the Vancouver hospital's 11-hour telethon, which was broadcast live on Global BC. Éminence's fundraising efforts for the hospital were the result of staff donations, a holiday auction and corporate matching. Miracle Weekend donations are used to support the purchase of life-saving equipment, treatment research, prevention and cure of childhood diseases, recruitment and educational programs for caregivers, and programs in communities throughout the province. "Our children benefit tremendously from the generosity and compassion demonstrated by people who contribute to Miracle Weekend events during the Philanthropic activities (left) and a company milestone (above) marked an eventful June for Éminence. year," Teri Nicholas, president and CEO of BC Children's Hospital Foundation, noted in a recent statement. Shortly thereafter, the brand celebrated another milestone: Koronczay performed his 2,000th educational demonstration at the Las Vegas International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference on June 23. Attendees were treated to entertainment, live comedy, champagne and, of course, lessons on the brand's signature techniques and treatments. "My first class was in Vegas 17 years ago," says Koronczay. "I probably had around 10 people, and now I have 1,500 people who want to attend my class!
