The classic plaid patterns, hound's-tooth textures and structured apparel seen on Fall 2013 runways portray a timeless sophistication that beauty manufacturers are eager to complement. "There's more of a focus on Hollywood glamour," says Jenny Jordan, creative operations officer for Mineralogie. "The classic bold lip will be showing in different ways, such as a plum-y, deep berry color." And don't forget about definition, says Shawn Towne, global educator for Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics. "We're seeing a more sculpted lip, darkened in the corners and defined to create more of a pouted or puckered appearance." According to Kate McCarthy, national makeup artist for Glo-Minerals, skin is also "in" this season. "Matte skin with a satin finish really comes into play for Fall and Winter 2013," she explains. "It won't be as dewy as we saw in the Spring and Summer seasons." Nails can also be a perfect complement to this sultry siren. CND Vinylux's Forbidden collection aims to "reflect the thin line between terror and excitement," says education training manager, Roxanne Valinoti.
