TREE HUGGERS UNITE!
Éminence Organic Skin Care (eminenceorganics
.com) recently reached a milestone in its
environmental initiative Forests for the Future. The
company, which has pledged to plant a tree for
every retail product sold, has now planted more
than one million trees.
"As the leader of organic skincare, we pride
ourselves in using the finest ingredients and we
believe that Mother Nature can provide everything
that the skin needs to stay healthy and look
beautiful," says Éminence president and founder
Boldijarre Koronczay (in photo, right). "Giving
back to the environment is an inherent part of our
company philosophy and we are proud to have
planted one million trees in return for the gifts from
the earth."
In celebration of their achievement, Koronczay
and his team took to the streets of Vancouver and
invited passersby to hug a tree! In return for each
hug, Éminence pledged to plant a tree. A total of
500 trees were hugged that day, meaning that
another 500 will soon be planted.
