O TWO OF HEARTS CIEL SPA & ROBERT VETICA SALON (cielatsls.com) Beverly Hills, California THE SERVICE: Sweet Loving Souls for Two (120 min./$495) The pampering begins with a candlelit soak in the spa's side-by-side tubs, featuring a lavender bath salt from Matanzas Creek Winery in the Sonoma Valley, accompanied by a glass of Champagne. Then comes a 90-minute synchronized massage using the couple's choice of aromatherapy oil (lavender for relaxation, rose for romance or bergamot for the soul.) S SETTING THE MOOD: The 5,000-square-foot spa is located in a popular hotel on a busy Los Angeles intersection, but guests would never know it. Entering the ethereal, Philippe Starckdesigned space, with its billowing white curtains and gleaming tiles, is like stepping into a cloud. It's hard to leave the serenity of the spa, but should they choose to, clients are also free to use the hotel's facilities—including fitness center and rooftop pool—for the rest of the day. Following the services, the couple has an extra half hour to unwind alone. S SETTING THE MOOD: Located on the pastoral property of five-diamond retreat Walden Inn, the spa's tranquil setting makes it ideal for couples seeking to get away. "Clients who come to Spa Walden are looking to create a space where they can reconnect, relax, and escape from the outside world," says spa director Jennesee Taylor. "We find our most frequently requested spa suites are our couples' suites, which twosomes use in their down time to really reconnect with each other. We see time and time again that couples are not only using the spa to relieve stress, but also to celebrate being together without all the interruptions from the outside world."
