Phytomer was honored with the ISPA Innovate Award by the International SPA Association (ISPA) at the 2013 ISPA Conference & Expo held in Las Vegas in October. The award recognizes spa industry leaders with innovative and successful spa-related initiatives. More than 400 votes were cast by ISPA members to determine the top ISPA Innovate winners. Lenette Casper, president of the U.S. division of Phytomer Corp., accepted the award, given to the company for its filtration garden designed to responsibly treat water waste used in manufacturing. The system, which uses three tiers of indigenous plants that contain enzymes and bacteria to naturally filter and remove pollution from the water, was developed at the brand's laboratories in Saint Malo, France. "The use of a filtration garden exemplifies Phytomer's belief to never reinvent what nature has already perfected," said Casper. "We are honored to receive this award as we continue advancements in our sustainability practices." NOEL'S IN THE NEWS Noel Asmar is making headlines with its two new launches: The Jada uniform model and a soft-scented candle line. Inspired by runway fashions and suitable for all hotel and spa divisions, The Jada features soft, breathable fabric, knit side panels, side vents for ease of movement and convenient side pockets. The fabric used for the sleeves and side panels is stain- and wrinkle-resistant, manages moisture and dries quickly. The brand's new four-item line of candles features a soothing line-up of scents: Sugar Coated Lemon; Sandalwood, Jasmine & Vanilla; Spiced Vanilla; and Tobacco Vanilla.
