Ignite Ideas, Design the Future," and the company did not disappoint. Among the principals engaging more than 140 senior instructors, corporate trainers and education managers representing over 50 countries at the company's Carson, California, headquarters were some key fi gures. They included: Jane Wurwand, cofounder and chief visionary of Dermalogica, The International Dermal Institute (IDI) and FITE; Annet King, senior director of global education for Dermalogica and IDI; Dr. Diana Howard, VP of research and development for Dermalogica and IDI; Mathew Divaris, VP of global marketing and creative for Dermalogica; and the company's newly minted CEO, Aurelian Lis. Buoyed by the desire to learn new skincare techniques, training skills and brand concepts, as well as share ideas for inspiring consumers and themselves, participants fl ocked in large gatherings and small breakout groups throughout the weeklong event. Helping to set the tone was program host King, who emphasized the importance of working together to create mutually rewarding futures. Howard shared information about upcoming Dermalogica products; Divaris talked about how to employ the company's brand in winning over consumers; Wurwand reminded attendees about the importance of fi nding one's purpose in life and sharing it with others; and Lis reviewed the company's focus and direction going forward, reinforcing its commitment to the power of human touch. In other news, Wurwand was recently recognized as a PAGE (Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship) Entrepreneurial Ambassador. Established in 2014, the PAGE initiative is a fi rst-of-its-kind collaboration between celebrated American entrepreneurs, the White House, the State Department and the Department of Commerce, to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs both in the U.S. and abroad.
