T
he number and variety of health products stocked in day spas
grows each year, yielding crucial additional revenue for spa
owners. However, sellers need to understand that for every
product they place on a retail shelf, they must assume some
level of responsibility for what happens next. We've all heard the
horror stories about an at-home acid peel gone wrong or a DIY scalp
treatment that resulted in a client's accelerated hair loss. The bad
news is you can be held liable for damages caused by the products
you sell. The good news is you can minimize your exposure to this
type of liability by being conscientious about which products you
bring into your spa.
