IN THE NEWS Launchtime! Rhonda Allison (rhondaallison.com) has introduced its Antiox Ex-Fusion Signature Treatment, a unique facial that aims to nourish and firm the complexion by infusing the skin with antioxidants, and providing essential moisture and protection. Treatment begins with the Liquid Enzyme Peel, which supports tissue regeneration and helps dissolve and exfoliate keratin. Derma Gel is then applied, which, once it bonds with the keratin, lifts dead skin cells and provides a mild, granular exfoliation. The final step includes a potent blend of C-Peptide Complex, Antioxidant Complex Serum and Grape Seed Hydrating Serum, which work to tone the skin and neutralize free radical damage. These applications aim to stimulate facial muscles and lend a healthy glow. "We wanted to focus on the idea of giving skin a workout, and solidifying the esthetician's role as a 'skin coach,'" says Rhonda Allison, founder and CEO of Rhonda Allison Cosmeceuticals. Cuccio Naturale's (cuccio.com) new DETOXSOAK system is looking to up the ante on the average pedicure. The 30-minute treatment, which was designed to function as a standalone service, begins with a foot bath containing magnesium sulfate crystals as well as an herb-infused soaking tablet, which releases a botanical blast of Artemisia absinthium, citrus aurantium amara peel and phellodendron-amurense bark to soothe and cool inflamed feet, and smooth and hydrate the skin. The 15-minute soak is followed by a simple massage protocol using Cuccio's Somatology Massage Serum, an antioxidant-rich formula that channels plant oils to provide aromatherapeutic and skin-rejuvenating benefits. The spot treatment is the latest addition to the brand's Purely Bright collection and targets dark spots, acne scars and freckles, while the new fragrance oil contains the essences of 10,000 rose petals. "We are always seeking new natural ingredients to create the most efficacious products—and we see amazing results," says Allison Rose Moss, senior director, U.S. marketing for Jurlique. Control Corrective Skincare Systems (controlcorrective.com) has announced a dynamic new product: EGF Serum 30. It contains multiple epidermal growth factors that deeply absorb into skin cells to minimize signs of aging and sun damage, improving the skin's texture and elasticity. "EGF Serum 30 produces far more effective results than non-biologically-derived products," says company president Ellen Clark. The new solution is suitable for all skin types and can be used in conjunction with retinol, antioxidant treatment systems and sunscreens. Babor (babor.com) boasts a new Brightening Cellular system, which targets and treats the various sign of aging. The line consists of: • Skin Brightening Serum, which includes a concentrated dose of brightening agents to achieve an even-toned complexion. • Skin Brightening Lotion, which addresses hyperpigmentation, lines and wrinkles, while protecting the skin from light-induced aging. • Skin Brightening Cream, which helps to refresh and rejuvenate the skin while clients sleep. "With Brightening Cellular, we are going to treat and lighten traditional hyperpigmentation that is caused by poor diffusion of melanin pigment in the skin," says Fabienne Lindholm, executive director of education for BABOR.
